About Me

Kelly Martinez was born and raised in San Francisco, and surrounded ​

by dogs her whole life. She knows San Francisco inside and out.

Her first experience with animals began in early childhood with the family Basset hounds Cleo and Mucho, and then came Holmes and Watson.

Many more dogs followed into her adult life.

Having spent twenty plus years as a corporate executive, Kelly took a leap of faith to follow her passion to work with animals full time. Your animals will get an enormous amount of love and attention by a professional who

understands all facets of running a dependable business.

Kelly is a graduate of DogTEC's Dog Walking Academy

and licensed in the City and County of San Francisco.

​

She has been educated in pack management, dog communication

and body language, aggression in all forms and how to prevent it.  ​

She understands the importance of reinforcement of the basics, such as reliable recalls, sit and stays, and dog park etiquette. Dog Play SF only

uses positive, reward-based command reinforcement.
